Harsh Dev approached the High Court to hold by-elections on two assembly seats of Jammu and Kashmir, which are vacant for 10 months

Jammu, July 31:

Former Education Minister Harsh Dev Singh approached the J&K High Court demanding by-elections in Nagrota and Budgam.

He has filed a petition in the court demanding direction to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to hold by-elections in Nagrota and Budgam assembly constituencies.

Former minister Harsh Dev Singh termed the delay in by-elections in Nagrota and Budgam assembly constituencies as illegal and arbitrary and accused the Election Commission of violating its constitutional obligation. Both these constituencies are vacant from October 2024.
