Govt. GLDM Degree College Hiranagar holds Play Kabaddi

Hiranagar, April 6:
The Department of Physical Education and Sports Govt. Girdari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree College Hiranagar organised “Play Kabaddi” Friendly Matches to Promote Unity-Happiness-Peace among the youth held at College Campus Hiranagar.

In a statement issued to mercury times, the event was organised under the patronage of Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma, Principal of the College. Girls Kabaddi teams of Govt. Degree College Kathua, Govt. College for Women Kathua and the Host College Govt. GLDM Degree College Hiranagar participated in the Friendly tournament.

The event was declared open by Prof. Shujat Khan IQAC Coordinator along with Physical Director Mr.Vikram Singh Jamwal and other faculty members of the Host College and accompanying staff of the participating colleges. A total of 36 women Kabaddi players from three Govt. Degree Colleges participated in this Friendly tournament which focussed on the promotion of Unity, Happiness, peace and promotion of Sports among the girls in the society. The Matches were officiated by Miss Sunita Devi and Miss. Munisha Devi.

Mr. Roshan Lal Sharma Physical Director GWC Kathua and Prof. Anil Sharma accompanied the respective teams from GCW Kathua and GDC Kathua. Ms. Tania, Ms Sureka and Ms Sanjana were the captains for the teams of GDC Kathua, GCW Kathua and Govt. GLDM Degree College Hiranagar respectively. The final match was played between Govt. GLDM Degree College Hiranagar and GDC Kathua. Also present during the event was Prof. Gurdyal, Dr. Davinder Kaur, Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Prof. Arun Kumar, Prof. Parveen Kumar, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Prof. Neha Bhagat, Prof. Babita, Prof. Kiran Thapa, Dr. Chinky, Dr. Arun Kumar, Prof. Reetika, Prof. Arvind Kumar, Miss. Ritu Bhushan, Dr. Usha, Prof. Meena, Dr. Preeti, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Dr. Bhupinder Singh, Mr. Sartaj, and Prof. Arfat.
