Jammu, February 16:
Jammu is a city of temples but the condition of temples here is poor. There are big religious places like Uttar Vahini Parmandal but there is no development.
Jammuites said that the government will have to pay attention to this. Trains are going to Kashmir but it should not happen that registration for Amarnath Yatra is also done from there. The government should keep the registration system in Jammu.
Big sports events should be organised here, this will also increase the possibility of tourism. When the train reached Katra in 2014, hotels and other businesses of Jammu were affected. Employment of local people will have to be given priority in the industries set up here. Along with the possibilities of new tourism, tourist places like Bhaderwah, Mansar, Suruinsar, Basohli, Gharana Wetland will have to be developed.
This will increase the number of tourists. This will strengthen the economy. Arrangements will have to be made for people to stay here after visiting the tourist places of Kashmir as well as the religious tourism of Jammu, Raghunath Temple, Bawe Wali Mata, Mata Vaishno. With the start of train service, Kashmir will remain connected with the country throughout the year. This is also important for national security.
When the train came to Jammu, the economy of Pathankot was affected. Pathankot was saved because of Himachal. Now that the train is going to Kashmir, attention will have to be paid to how Jammu will be saved.
The government’s attitude towards the tourist places of Jammu is not right. The tourist places of Jammu have not been promoted. The publicity system needs to be improved. Taxi drivers will be most affected if the train goes to Kashmir.
