Get vaccinated, don’t lower guards against COVID-19: Raman Suri

Now that the Government has allowed opening of businesses and bazars besides allowed gatherings in a controlled manner in Jammu and Kashmir, people should not lower their guards against coronavirus and should continue to adhere to all the restrictions and follow COVID-19 guidelines religiously to save lives.
This was stated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri, as per press statement issued to mercury times, who added that the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is also vaccinating all above 18 years of age and has administered over 40 lakh vaccines so for. This, he said, could become possible because of active participation of people and able mechanism put forth by the government to vaccinate each and everyone, even in far off places.
Raman Suri said, after having vaccinating armed forces, sanitation workers, inmates of district prisons and healthcare workers above the age of 45 years, the state is sure to reach 100% coverage in the coming months with the active participation of people and government’s resolve to reach everyone. He thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching such a massive free vaccination drive across the length and breadth of the country to fight coronavirus.
BJP leader requested people to get vaccinated as soon as possible and at the same time not crowd markets or lower their guards. He asserted that India is much ahead of all other Nations in vaccinating its people and providing free vaccination to all the states and union territories. This drive should continue consistently and people should be vaccinated completely to fight the virus.
He advised people of Jammu and Kashmir to not take the virus casually and continue to follow social distancing, hand washing and wearing of masks besides getting vaccinated on war footings because these are the only guards against this virus. Ample vials of vaccine are available with the government and people should get vaccinated as per their turns after getting registered with the Government-sponsored vaccination centres. Raman Suri said that the vision of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and meticulous planning by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha made it possible for healthcare workers to reach every nook and corner of the Union Territory to vaccinate people despite facing even the hostile conditions. This, he said, is exemplary and deserves appreciation.
