Jammu, July 31:
Amid the outbreak of dengue, the fogging campaign of Jammu Municipal Corporation and Malaria Department is limited to the main roads. People want that the corporation’s autos should also reach the streets of the localities. Emphasis should be laid on fogging around the garbage dumps in empty plots and places where waterlogging occurs.
JMC has prepared a roster of about one and a quarter month and in collaboration with the malaria department. It has made preparations for fogging in all 75 wards of the city. Till date, fogging has been done in 20 wards.
Since then, fogging was done on 25th, 27th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, 32nd, 12th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 39th, 40th, 41st, 61st and on Thursday.
Fogging was done in ward number 64 and 65.
Every day, the municipal corporation’s autos are reaching two to three wards and doing fogging. This campaign is to run till 29th August. If people are to be believed, the corporation’s autos are doing thermal fogging only while passing through the main streets.
