Srinagar, February 20:
A ceasefire violation was violated by Pakistan in Nowgam sector of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, police said. According to officials, small arms firing was fired on Indian posts from posts located in PoK around noon.
The firing stopped after a while and there were no reports of any casualties or injuries, the officials said. Security forces have increased vigil in the area keeping the situation under control. Police and the army have intensified surveillance in the area and are monitoring the situation.
