Srinagar, February 3:
A massive fire broke out in cowsheds in Kehribal area of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The flames engulfed the surrounding areas.
It causing chaos in the area. As soon as the information was received, the fire department vehicles reached the spot. The efforts were started on a war footing to control the fire.
In view of the magnitude of the fire, the local administration and fire department responded immediately. Several fire tender vehicles are present at the spot and water cannons are being used to prevent the flames from spreading. Rescue teams are making every effort to evacuate the livestock safely. However, the rescue operation is hampered due to the flames and smoke. Locals have also extended a helping hand to the administration and are assisting in dousing the fire.
Immediate investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated. According to preliminary reports, the cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit or some other technical fault, but it is yet to be confirmed.
