Youth Wing of NCP celebrated Gandhi Jayanti under the leadership of Er.Rishi Kilam National Secretary and National Spokesperson NCP Youth along with other activists.
While paying rich tributes and homage to the father of the Nation Er.Rishi said that Gandhi ji after the lapse of 151 years is still honoured and remembered world wide and commands reverence and love of the people because of his good deads he needs no introduction.
In a statement issued to mercury times, Er. Rishi Kilam said that Gandhi ji fought for the freedom and welfare of India with the idea to bring equality in the society and preached non – violence and wanted to see prosperous and better India.
Rishi Kilam said that Gandhi ji wanted to bring harmony in all religions with empowerment of women and welfare of farmers and poor.She said Gandhi ji always showed concern with the weaker sections of the society and was a believer of truth.
Er.Rishi said his ideas and teachings are relevant even today and we must follow his teachings to live a peaceful life.
Rishi Kilam also paid rich tributes and homage to former Prime Minister Late Lal Bahadur Shastri the noble soul on his birth anniversary who was the well wisher of farmers.
