Srinagar, September 14:
Security forces launched the operation based on information regarding the presence of terrorists in Tappar area of ​​Baramulla.
IG Kashmir Zone, VK Bardhi confirmed that the security forces faced heavy firing and shelling from the terrorist hideouts while moving towards the target location. The rugged and hilly topography of the area along with sparse population made the operation challenging.
Bardhi said some bodies have been identified but detailed information will be provided only after the operation is over. He described the operation as a significant achievement of the security forces.
