Pulwama, June 8:
Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police RR Swain said on Saturday that the peaceful atmosphere here should not be disturbed. Law enforcement agencies will have to take strict action against some anti-social elements.
After holding a public darbar in Pulwama district, he said that elections can be held when there is peace in Kashmir. Also, when there is no fear. Only then people can vote without any fear.
He further said that we want to maintain such an atmosphere. Sometimes we have to face criticism as well. We have to take strict action against some people. Everyone is satisfied that the recently held Lok Sabha elections were completed peacefully. Also, the percentage of voters in Jammu and Kashmir has been quite high.
