Rajouri, March 9:
On Thursday, the family members of the Dhangri terror attack victims met with top civil and police officers and requested appropriate rehabilitation for those hurt in the firing, according to authorities.
On the occasion, the relatives of the deceased demanded the installation of CCTV cameras and the neutralization of the militants responsible for the assault during a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal and Senior Superintendent of Police Mohammad Aslam, officials claimed.
The group included family members of two other civilians slain in a shooting outside the entrance of an army camp at the district’s Phalyana village on December 16. They were accompanied by BJP officials, including Dinesh Sharma, the party’s district head.
The terror assault in Dhangri on January 1 resulted in seven fatalities and fourteen injuries.
A few of the wounded people are still receiving medical care. Despite 70 days having passed, “the families of the victims sought justice, but there is no sign of the attackers and their overground supporters,” Sharma said.
They also requested that surveillance cameras be installed in vulnerable areas and that attempts to trace down the attackers be intensified, he continued.
According to the BJP leader, the group also requested that those who suffered critical injuries in the assault receive appropriate rehabilitation.
“Several of the casualties of the assault were permanently disabled. They received some compensation money, but no significant steps toward their recovery were made, according to Sharma, who called for government employment for the victims out of sympathy.
He claimed that the relatives of the Phalyana shooting casualties also demanded that one of them be hired.
