Jammu, October 26:
Dengue is preparing to reach its peak. Due to the increasing attacks of mosquitoes, over 150 cases are being reported daily in the last one week. In which 80 to 90 cases are coming in Jammu district alone. 90 percent of the total cases are being reported from the municipal corporation areas.
So far in the year 2023, 4453 seasonal cases had been reported, whereas this year, 4315 cases have been reported so far. Children are also suffering from dengue along with adults. Out of 158 dengue cases reported in the state last Thursday, 24 children were affected. Out of these, 86 cases were reported in Jammu district itself, while 24 cases were reported in Samba, 7 in Kathua, 15 in Udhampur, 13 in Reasi, 4 in Rajouri, 6 in Doda, 1 in Ramban, 2 in Kishtwar. So far, a woman from Bathindi has died of dengue.
Most cases in Jammu district have been found in Mutthi. So far 283 cases have been found here. Similarly, in the list of hotspots, dozens of cases have been found in Roop Nagar (140), Janipur (144), Vinayak Nagar and Gandhinagar (110 each) and other places.
