Deliverer dies of electrocution, family creates ruckus over doctor’s negligence in GMC

Jammu, November 3:
The family members of the deceased created a ruckus at the GMC Jammu on Sunday, accusing the doctor of negligence in treatment.

After being electrocuted, the lineman was brought to the hospital for treatment. Family members alleged that the doctor on duty declared him dead. The angered the family members and started shouting slogans against the doctor.

Shubham Minhas, a delivery worker in the electricity department, was seriously injured due to electrocution in the pole in the tubewell of the Jal Shakti Department in Malpur.

The family members accused the CMO posted at the spot of not seeing the injured.
The family says that when they brought Shubham to the GMC, he was breathing.

Shubham Minhas (28), a resident of Dumi, had been working as a lineman in Janipur sub-division for the last 10 years.

On Sunday, it was reported that there was a fault on the tubewell of the Jal Shakti Department in Malpur. He went there to fix it.

They were climbing the pole and correcting the fault when they fell down after getting a strong shock of the current and became unconscious.

According to the information, Shubham’s friend Jagdish took him to GMC in an injured state. Shubham’s cousin Rajan said that he was alive when he took his brother to the medical college. The CMO on duty did not even think it appropriate to watch. This led to his death.

AE Inderpal of Janipur sub-division in the electricity department said that Shubham was a delivery lineman in the department. It turns out that while working on the pole, the current came from somewhere. He fell to his death. According to the rules of the department, there is a provision to give 10 lakh compensation. It will be given after completing the formalities.
