Srinagar, December 29:
The Commissioner SMC/ CEO Srinagar Smart City, Mr. Athar Amir Khan today conducted a meeting to review the works under going through Smart City. The high level meeting was attended by Chief Engineer R&B, Chief Engineer SSCL, Superintending Engineer, PHE / I&FC, Ex.Engineer PDD, Executive Engineer PHE,Ex.Engineer R&B CD 2nd, Ex.Engineer CD 1st.
During the meeting, Mr. Athar took a detailed review of different works being executed in the city under Smart City Project.
In a statement issued to mercury times, while discussing the projects undertaken at Chuntikul along with bridges over Chuntikul, the LCMA assured timely completion of these works.
Discussing various projects regarding road works with R&B, the Chief Engineer R&B ,PHE and Forestry Division assured completion of works of I.G Road.
While reviewing the work on footpath at Boulevard Road, the CEO Smart City was assured timely completion by the concerned Department. The CEO Smart City directed the concerned officials of R&B to modify the Toilet Blocks and Bus Shutters at Tulip garden as per the requirement.
During the meeting, CE,R&B assured Mr.Athar that the Nalamar road is highly significant, and the work on it will be tendered shortly.
While reviewing the work on Natipora Barzulla road, the concerned officials from I&FC assured CEO the completion of work will be done in time bound manner.
While discussing the work pertaining to Soura Junction, the Chief Engineer R&B assured all possible help in the timely completion of the work.
The CEO Smart City directed the concerned officials of PDD to visit the site wherever electric cabling is going on for the smooth supply of electricity. He asked the officials to submit the estimate for shifting of utilities at M.A Road.
Mr. Athar directed Dy. Director Tourism to complete the ongoing projects like Raghunath Mandir and Fossil park at Khunmoh.
Discussing the project SCADA/OTT with the officials of PHE, Commissioner directed the concerned officials to allot the work as soon as possible.
A Power Point presentation was also run in the meeting regarding projects undergoing through the Smart City project. After discussing various related issues, Mr. Athar directed the officials to complete the projects taken under smart city at M.A. Road, Residency road and I.G.Road in stipulated time frame. Later Mr.Athar along with Hon’ble Corporator Mr. Bashir Ahmad visited Bagh e Mahtab and met delegation who put forth demands of the area. Commissioner assured them that the demands will be fulfilled in time bound manner. Mr Ather also visited IG road to take review of the work being carried out under Smart City Project.
