Jammu, December 11:
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday held a meeting with representatives of civil society at his residence in Jammu. This was his first meeting since he assumed the power. Deputy Chief Minister Sunder Choudhary, ministers Sakina Ito, Javed Rana and Satish Sharma, and others were present at the meeting. According to officials, the meeting lasted for more than three hours.
The meeting was part of the Chief Minister’s Jan Sampark programme. This aimed to resolve the problems being faced by various social sections. The representatives who attended the meeting raised their problems and demanded the government to resolve issues related to their welfare at the earliest. According to officials, the Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to all the participants and assured that their issues would be resolved in due course of time.
