Chain Singh,an Indian Sports Shooter interacts with staff of District Youth Services & Sports Department Kishtwar

The spirit of Nasha Mukht JK Abhiyan grows high as the Son of Soil, Subedar Chain Singh, an Indian sport shooter and a Junior Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army hailing from Chenab Valley today appealed the Youth of Kishtwar to stay away from  Drug-Abuse menace and take keen interest in Sports activities and make it as their career.

Meanwhile,he was a day long tour to District Kishtwar and stole few moments to visit the office of District Youth Services & Sports Department where he interacted with the Sports fraternity of Department.

Worthwhile to mention here that Chain Singh has represented the country in Olympics in 2016. Besides this he has won 20  international medals for the country which includes 12 Gold,03 Silver and 05 Bronze medals in big competitions like Asian Games, Asian championship, shooting world cups, commonwealth Games and South Asian Games.

At National championship competitions he has won 78 medals which includes  47 Gold, 16 silver and 05 Bronze medals

At DYSSO Office Kishtwar, he was affectionately received and welcomed by DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma alongwith other Sports teachers present on the occasion.

DYSSO Kishtwar briefed him about the Sports scenario in the District and apprised him about various achivement made by students in the sports sector in the District.

Chain Singh urged the Sports fraternity to make seamless efforts to motivate the youth and students to take part in the sports activities where there are even the best  opportunities to get govt jobs under various govt sponsored schemes.

While giving a message to youth of Kishtwar, Chain Singh ji  urged youth to aptly choose sports instead of Drugs  and make their life a grand success which is full of prestige.
