Kathua, April 20:
District Police kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh.RC Kotwal,JKPS,while acting against the illegal activities of bovine smugglers within the district,rescued more than a dozen of bovines in the JD of Hiranagar Police Station.
In wee hours,A police team of IC PCP Dinga Amb under the supervision of IC PP Dinga Amb while on patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area noticed the movement of bovines on foot being led by some persons via Dyalachak Road towards Udhampur and they were directed to stop.
On seeing Police Party from a distance,the persons taking advantage of the darkness fled away from the spot and left abandoned more than one dozen bovines.
In consequence,13 bovines qwere rescued which were presumably being taken without a legal permission towards valley.
By taking this cognisance,case FIR 55/2021 U/S 188/IPC, 11/PCA Act has been registered in concerned Police Station and investigation has been started.
General public has hailed this swift action of District Police.
