Jammu, March 31:
On Monday morning, BJP Yuva Morcha Mandal President Sachin Gupta was attacked and injured by assailants with a sharp weapon.
The seriously injured Sachin has been referred to Amritsar.
The incident took place when they were on a morning walk with their partner. The attackers arrived on a bike wearing a mask. The injured Sachin has named two people from the village.
In the morning, two youths approached Sachin Gupta, who was with Bablu, on a bike and first asked his identity.
As soon as Sachin told his name and address, one of the youths who came on a bike took out a sharp weapon and attacked him.
Seeing Sachin bleeding, Bablu went away from the spot and started throwing stones at the attackers. Seeing this, the youths ran away from there.
The injured Sachin was first taken to Sohanjana Hospital. From where the family took him to Amritsar for better treatment after first aid.
The police are scanning the footage of the CCTV camera installed nearby to identify the attackers.
The incident of attack on BJYM Mandal President Sachin Gupta has been termed as a failure of law and order. Said that if the workers are not safe, then the atmosphere of fear among the people is natural.
