Srinagar, September 6:
In the midst of the assembly elections, Pulwama police has foiled a major plot of terrorist attack. The terrorist’s aide has been arrested and a grenade has been recovered.
According to the police, on Thursday, a check post was being set up at the crossing in Karimabad, Pulwama. During this, a hand grenade was recovered from the possession of Arsalan Ahmed Sheikh, a resident of Karimabad. He was arrested on the spot. Initial investigation has revealed that the accused was planning a grenade attack on the check post of security forces.
The attack was foiled due to the timely action of the police. A case has been registered against the accused at the Pulwama police station. Police say that investigation is being carried out to unravel any possible links of the accused with other terrorist activities.
