JKPCC President GA Mir on Thursday appointed Ajmer Singh President Purmandal Block of Samba District.
In this regard the appointment letter was handed over to Ajmer Singh by Congress District Samba President Sanjeev Sharma in presence of JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla. On this occasion several prominent Youth joined Congress party.
Welcoming new entrants, Bhalla said the new entrants reposed their faith in the Congress’ programmes and policies, saying it alone can safeguard their aspirations and ensure equitable development of J&K.
He said Congress has always provided a vibrant platform to youths to play their designated role in the state polity and help in shaping its politico-economic destiny”.
Describing the joining of youths as a “vindication of the Congress’ pro-people policies”, he said the time has come to unite and defeat communal forces which are befooling the poor with false slogans.
He called upon the youths to join Congress, saying that the party’s ideology is dedicated to uphold the Constitution and democratic values of the country.
Bhalla further stressed that Congress is “not just a party” but also an idea connected to the development of India.

It has been the goal of the Congress to ensure unity, social harmony and equality. Strengthen the foundation of the country by joining the principles of the Congress party,” he said.
He further said I call upon everyone, especially the youth, to contribute in saving the country, the Constitution, democracy by becoming a member of the Congress.
Join hands with Congress to stop the phase that the country is passing through presently, where the fascist forces are bent on destroying our constitutional values.
Bhalla said Congress is the oldest party in the country with a proud history and its leaders have sacrificed their lives before and after independence to keep it united. “People should join Congress to propagate its message.”
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said that the youths of J&K have seen a beam of light in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and this is the reason more and more youth are joining Congress party.
He said, with the emerging political scenario in J&K, Congress party is fast emerging as the only choice of people because of its progressive policies, democratic and secular values.
He said that secularism is the strength of Indian Nation and only Congress can lead the J&K and the entire Nation to the path of peace, progress and prosperity by strengthening secular fabric of this country.
Bhalla lashed out at the BJP Government for crushing the poor and the common man under huge taxes leading to record price rise, property tax, large scale unemployment and arbitrary downgrading of the historical state.
All sections of the society are resenting against the dictatorial policies of the Modi Govt be they common man, unemployed youth, students, traders, transporters, adhoc, contractual, daily wagers, need based, pensioners, and others but the Central Government and the UT administration are insensitive and indifferent to the genuine demands of the different sections.
