Mandi, July 14:
A man was injured in a wild bear attack in Savjian Sundari area of Mandi sub-division on Tuesday. It triggers panic among the locals, police said.
The injured person has been identified as Mohammad Sadiq of Savjian Sundari.
According to the information, Sadiq was suddenly attacked by the bear. He was immediately taken to PHC Savjian, where the doctors referred him to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Mandi for further treatment.
In the same incident, 6 goats have also been reported injured due to bear attack.
The incident has caused panic among residents. They have demanded the wildlife department to take immediate steps to catch or chase away this wild animal.
