Basantgarh encounter: Four daughters of martyred VDG member adopted by Social Welfare Department

Social Welfare Department adopted four out of five daughters of VDG who were martyred in terrorist encounter in Basantgarh of Udhampur district. Of these, two will be kept in Nari Niketan located at Battal Baliyan in Udhampur.

While two will be given Rs 4,000 each per month for studies. This information was given by Social Welfare Department officer Kanika Gupta. Officer told that this initiative has been taken with the cooperation of District Deputy Commissioner Udhampur.

Gupta told that Baidharani VDG has five daughters, out of which four have been adopted by the department. Under this, two daughters will be kept in Nari Niketan located in Battal Baliyan area of ​​Udhampur by the Social Welfare Department.

At the same time, under Mission Vatsalya, the entire expense of their education will be borne. Two other daughters will be given Rs 4,000 every month for their studies.
