Even today, in the areas of Block Ghordi, electricity is being supplied to the houses by tying wires to trees. When there is strong wind, the wires break and fall on the ground. Many cattle have died due to electric shock. If it is said that the department has opened the doors of death for the villagers by tying electric wires to trees, then it will not be wrong.
Wires have been tied to trees in Satyalata, Dharanu, Malal, Badela, Koldi, Marada Mata, Kasuri of Ghordi. Local people say that when it rains or storms, the wires fall down due to which the power supply stops for several hours. People have to live in darkness throughout the night. They have requested the senior officials of the department several times to solve this problem, but got nothing except assurances.
