Assault on accused who came to appear in court premises, confrontation and scuffle with lawyers; Several injured in the chaos

Jammu, April 2:
The accused of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by making the video viral were attacked in the court premises during the hearing.

The accused were on interim bail. He had come to appear before the court at the court premises in Janipur for the hearing.

The sudden attack caused chaos in the court premises. Some also suffered injuries in the attack.
On March 7, a video went viral on social media. Rashtriya Bajrang Dal president Rakesh Bajrangi had complained that it was an attempt to provoke religious sentiments of Hindus. Based on his complaint, an FIR was registered at Satwari police station against the four accused — Mohammad Arif, Shahid, Yunus and Imran. All four were charged under Section 299 of the Indian Penal Code.
After this, another complaint against the accused was filed by Dilawar Singh of Yuva Rajput Sabha.

On Wednesday morning, these accused were going to appear in the court of Special Mobile Magistrate (Passenger Tax) Jyoti Bhagat, following the bail conditions.

Meanwhile, some people who came in the car attacked them.

They also clashed with the lawyers present there. They had a fierce scuffle. It is said that one of the attackers had also arrived with a pistol.
Everyone was shocked by this sudden attack.

Meanwhile, the Janipur police reached the spot. Most of the attackers managed to escape. Police said one of the attackers Sarfaraz was arrested by the police.

On the other hand, the lawyers also raised questions about the safety of the people who reached there. Said that they have already informed the government in this regard, but no strong steps were taken.
