Lolab, December 6:
Army on Monday organised a felicitation ceremony at Zorawar Garrison, Lolab, to honour the winners of National Kickboxing Championship and Indo-Nepal Youth Games International Series 2022.
“The youth of Lolab have a lot of dreams and aspirations which can be seen from their faces while meeting them. The aspiration of youth has been boosted with the efforts of government agencies that are committed in providing read infrastructure for progress of Kashmiri youth”, reads a statement received here.
“An interaction by the Commanding Officer followed by the the felicitation ceremony was organised for the proud winners in National kickboxing championship 2022 where the kickboxing team (Basit Fayaz, Yashir Yosuf, Arslan Nabi, Umar Quyum, Akib Ah Dar) from Lolab clinched two gold,one silver, two bronze medal & Indian Kabaddi team in India Nepal Youth Games International Series 2022 where the team was led by Sajad Khan clinched gold medal”, the statement reads.
“The winning teams from Lolab Valley have not only imprinted their success in the history of Kashmir but also become motivation for others. These talented and hardworking youth are real heroes and the bright future of Kashmir”, reads the statement.
“At the end the Commanding Officer congratulated the teams and appreciated their efforts. He motivated them to continue hard work and be an inspiration for the youth of Lolab valley and the country”, concluded the statement.
