Anger over terrorist attack: Shops closed in Shivkhori’s base camp Ransu, demand to tighten security on the Yatra route

Jammu, June 10:

The market remained closed on Monday in Shivkhori’s base camp Ransoo due to the terrorist attack in Reasi. Shopkeepers kept their shops closed. People providing horse, mule and palanquin services stopped their services on Monday in protest against the attack. Shopkeepers gathered at one place in the market and staged a sit-in. During this, strong anger was expressed over the attack. Also, condolences were expressed with the families of those killed in the attack. Along with this, wishes were made for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Shopkeepers and local people demanded strict action against terrorists from Jammu Kashmir administration. They demanded to tighten the security on the route from Reasi to Pouni and base camp and Shivkhori Yatra. On the other hand, after the attack on Sunday, the movement of pilgrims in Shivkhori Dham was seen to be less on Monday as compared to normal days.
