Anger erupted over the shortage of doctors, BJP leader locked SDH Banihal

Banihal, April 21:
BJP leader and social worker Mohammad Salim Bhat on Tuesday locked the main gate of the Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH) Banihal. Then protested over the shortage of doctors, which disrupted services for some time.

Bhat alleged that patients in Banihal, Ramsu and Gool are facing a lot of problems due to lack of staff. After the repeated appeals to the authorities have also not been heeded.

He said that many doctors are on study leave. While one doctor has been shifted to the District Hospital Ramban without appointing someone else in his place.

The protest ended after the police and Banihal Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mohammad Naseeb intervened and assured action. The services were later restored.
