Teachers will now serve as nodal officers for monitoring stray dog ​​incidents both inside and outside schools.

The School Education Department has taken this unprecedented step to ensure the safety of students and staff in schools.
It states that it is mandatory to designate a nodal officer in each school.

The Kupwara CEO has issued official instructions to the principals, zonal education officers (ZEOs) and headmasters of all schools in the district.
It states that signboards with the message “Beware of dogs” must be displayed at prominent locations. These are mandatory to raise awareness about stray dogs.
