After Srinagar, Defence Chief reached Jammu, reviewed the operational preparedness of the security forces

Jammu, June 17:

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan arrived in Jammu on Monday. He arrived on a one-day visit to Jammu to review the security situation and operational preparedness in the division.

Earlier, the Chief of Defence Staff arrived at the Army’s Chinar Corps headquarters in Srinagar on Sunday. Here he addressed the armed force officers and highlighted the changes and achievements taking place in the Indian Armed Forces. He praised the high standards of professionalism of various formations and units of the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force. The visit of the Chief of Defence Staff comes soon after Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the security situation and preparations for the annual Amarnath Yatra on Sunday.

The CDS on Monday arrived at the 16 Corps headquarters in Nagrota, Jammu. Here he reviewed the security situation in the area and the operational preparedness of the security forces. He was briefed by top army commanders, including the Northern Army Commander and the General Officer Commanding (GOC).
