A meeting was called by Shri Sunil Kumar, IPS, Addl. DGP Railways J&K in the office chambers of SSP Railways Jammu on 14.07.2023. The main focus of the meeting was to review the security arrangements in connection with Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra-2023. The meeting was attended by Shri Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Railways Jammu and other senior officers of GRP Jammu. ADGP Railways emphasized to intensify the patrolling on the tracks and also strengthen the security deployment at Railway station Jammu. ADGP Railways informed the officers that due to cancellation of trains there shall be huge accumulation of passengers at Railway station Jammu as most of the passengers may prefer to temporarily stay at Railway station Jammu till the train services are fully operationalized again. He stressed that Public Address system at all important points particularly within the platform area should be made more effective. Later after the meeting, ADGP Railways took a round of Railway station Jammu and checked all the deployment made at Railway Station Jammu. ADGP also informed the officers to brief the Jawans to compassionately deal the old aged passengers and render all kind of help to them. He also visited the help desk established at Railway station Jammu by GRP Jammu. ADGP Railways also held meeting with the senior officers of Railway department and discussed all the issues related to the security of Railways.
