Jammu, July 10:
There is a big strategy behind the terrorists’ ambush. According to police sources, Pakistani terrorists active from Kathua to Kishtwar have kept some local terrorists with them. These terrorists have returned after staying in Pakistan for a long time, who have accurate information about the old route from infiltrating across the border to reaching Kishtwar Ramban.
These terrorists know where the residential areas are on the old route. Where the hiding places are. They also know where the army is not present in the 12 thousand square kilometer forest. They are attacking keeping this in mind.
Intelligence agencies have information about the presence of 16 terrorists from Kathua to the forests of Kishtwar. These 16 terrorists are divided into two groups of six to ten in number. Each group has one or two terrorists who are residents of Kathua, Udhampur, Kishtwar.
Military sources say that these terrorists have associated such guides with them who do Reconnaissance during the day. They collect information about military vehicles, tourists and vehicles going to and coming from religious places. They live among the common people and collect information about their daily routine. Then they share this with the terrorists.
Terrorists ambush according to this. They choose the time of attack between 3 pm to 6 pm so that the guides take them to the chosen place on time. After the attack, they are able to escape on time. All this happens during the day so that they are not caught after the attack. They reach their hideout before nightfall.
