On 20.08.2021 an information was received through reliable source that few persons were stucked in the flash flood due to the heavy rainfall occurred in the hilly areas as a result of which flood came in the Ujh River. As input these five persons were visited at early morning time and got stranded in the said flood namely 1. Din Mohd S/o Raju Ali Age 21 Yrs. 2. Asgar Ali S/o Moj Din Age 23 Yrs 3. Imam Hussain S/o Mouj Din Age 26Yrs. 4. Din Mohd. S/o Raju Din Age 10 Yrs. all resident of Kanwal, Korepunnu 5.Mohd. S/o Sher Mohd. Age 50 Yrs. R/o Mahi Chak. On this team of P/S Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO Border Sh. Sachit Mahajan- JKPS swung into the action on the directions of worthy SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal-JKPS, kathua police alongwith the team of SDRF immediately reached on spot and rescued 04 persons from Ujh River with the help of Chopper.
General Public of the area appreciated the immediate action of Kathua Police.
