Srinagar, March 3:
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday directed police and civil administration officials to remain on high alert and take all necessary steps to maintain peace.
Sinha said he held a meeting with senior police and civil administration officials at the police control room in Kashmir to review the law and order situation. He asked the officials to remain vigilant and take all necessary steps to ensure peace and order of the public.
At the same time, he appealed to the people and community leaders to maintain social harmony and ensure a peaceful environment. The Lt Governor said that it is a shared responsibility of all of us to maintain peace and secure the progress of the society.
Earlier, Sinha reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and held in-depth discussions with top security officials.
