Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat recently visited the temple.
He had given instructions to document this temple submerged in water.

On Saturday, a team of the Archaeological Survey of India documented the ancient temple. This 9th century temple has two pyramidal roofs. Constructed of local stones and partially submerged for most of the year. It is a rare monument located on the banks of a lake in Kashmir.
An accurate digital record of the structure was created using advanced technologies such as remotely operated vehicles and high-resolution underwater cameras. The lake bed has been mapped to study the reasons for its submergence. This is the first underwater archaeological initiative in the high-altitude region of North India.
