Kathua, October 21: Five fresh dengue cases were reported in Kathua district on Tuesday, taking the total to 65. Three cases remain active, with two patients hospitalised for treatment.
The new cases were reported from Nagari, Kalibadi, Chann Aroria and the Hiranagar border area. Meanwhile, 25 malaria cases have also been recorded in the district.
The Health Department has intensified fogging, insecticide spraying and door-to-door awareness campaigns to curb the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.
