PWD’s Hospital and Mechanical Engineering Wing Chief Engineer Shahid Latif visited Poonch district on Thursday. During which he reviewed the preparations being made by the department for snowfall.
Tariq Mehmood Khan, Assistant Executive Engineer of the department, gave information about the preparations made for snowfall in Poonch.
Expressing satisfaction over the preparations made in Poonch district. The Chief Engineer said that Poonch district, which is adjacent to Kashmir, is very important for us where the historic Mughal Road, which is maintained by the BRO.
The entire machinery is provided by the hospital and the mechanical engineering department. Apart from Mughal Road, we have 410 km of PWD and Pradhan Mantri Gram roads which are affected by snowfall.
For which all our preparations have been completed. Snow removal machines will be delivered to all areas by November 10.
24/7 control rooms will also be set up in snowfall affected areas in the district. This time, after the snowfall, the roads will not be closed for a long time and people will not have to face problems.
