Two students from Hassan Kuhamiya Degree college of Bandipora have been selected to represent Kashmir valley in upcoming Pencak silat championship at Guru Nanak, Dev university Amritsar.
Sabhat Afreen and Tabinda Majeed, both students of HKM degree college Bandipora, were selected from the upcoming championship. These girls were representing the college in the Inter university championship held at Kashmir university Srinager.
Speaking with the media Sabhat Afreen said that it was possible only because of the support of the college authorities. The college equally provides opportunities to girls in sports apart from classwork.
She also said that the college provides opportunities to girls to come forward and show their skills in both sports and academics.
