Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu, celebrated 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
The program began with a heartfelt welcome address by students Mehtab and Saziya.
They who warmly greeted the gathering and set a positive tone for the celebration.
The National Flag was proudly hoisted by the esteemed Managing Director, Kunwar Gambhir Dev Singh Charak Ji.
This was followed by singing of National Anthem.
In his address, the Managing Director highlighted the importance of Republic Day as a celebration of India’s democratic values.
The Principal, Major Bhawna Devi, Retd expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the students and staff in organizing the event.
She spoke about the significance of Republic Day and urged everyone to respect and salute our freedom fighters, leaders and take pride in our rich cultural heritage and pledge to uphold the democratic ideals of our constitution.
The students performed cultural programmes paying tribute to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters. It conveyed the message about unity, peace, and the responsibility of citizens in building a strong nation.
