Leh, April 28:
In Ladakh, Lt Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Tuesday approved the appointment of DCs and SPs.
The posts of administrative and police chiefs have been filled up in all the five new districts of Changthang, Nubra, Zanskar, Sham and Drass.
The LG directed the newly appointed officers to take charge of their respective districts without any delay.
Officials informed that a robust administrative structure is being created to support long-term governance and development goals so that the benefits of the formation of new districts can effectively reach the public.
IAS Nitish Rajoria has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner while JKPS Abbas Jafri has been posted as Superintendent of Police.
In Nubra, IAS Mukul Beniwal will be appointed as DC and JKPS Stanjin Losal will serve as SP.
IAS Omkar Rajendra Gundage has been appointed as DC of Zanskar while JKPS Rigjin Sandup will be SP.
JKAS Kunjes Angmo has been assigned the charge of DC while JKPS Ejaz Malik will act as SP.
In Dras, JKAS Imtiaz Kacho has been appointed as DC and JKPS Ishtiaq Ahmad has been appointed as SP.
