Jammu, October 8:
The Jammu Police and the Mining Department have once again taken strict action against illegal mining. A team from Akhnoor Police Station, Chowki Chaura Police Post and District Mineral Office (DMO), Jammu conducted the investigation under a joint operation in the Kathar Pail area.
During the operation, action was taken against suspected illegal mining/mineral extraction activities.
The concerned machinery/goods have been taken into safe custody as per rules and further necessary action is being initiated.
The officials reiterated that strict action will be taken against illegal mining activities.
