Leh, June 24:
A tragic road accident took place in the Drass region of Ladakh on Wednesday. A vehicle met with an accident near Marpochu and fell into the Dras river.
One person was killed in the accident, while three others are missing. According to the information, a total of four people were in the vehicle. After the accident, the body of 35-year-old Aga Syed Baqir of Lankarche, was recovered from the Thanda Mor area of Chowkial. Authorities have confirmed his death.
At the same time, three other people are missing since the accident.
As soon as the information of the accident was received. The local administration, police and rescue teams reached the spot.
Officials added that the search operation is continuing. All necessary resources have been deployed to search for the missing people.
