Traffic Advisory issued in view of Amarnath Yatra

Jammu, June 30:
The first batch of pilgrims for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 will leave Jammu on July 2, 2026. In such a situation, the movement of heavy vehicles (HMVs) from Qazigund towards Jammu. From Jakhaini (Udhampur) towards Srinagar will not be allowed after 7:00 pm on July 1, 2026. However, light vehicles (LMVs) will be allowed to ply till 11:00 pm.

Upstream Light Vehicles (LMV)/Private Cars/HPSVs will be allowed to move from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Udhampur. The last part of the upward travel convoy crosses Jakhaini (Udhampur).

Similarly, downstream Light Vehicles (LMV)/Private Cars/HPSVs will be allowed to move from Qazigund towards Jammu. The last part of the downward Baltal Yatra convoy crosses Marog. (For information on cut-off times, commuters are advised to refer to the traffic headquarters’ daily advisory.)

Movement of Heavy Vehicles (HMVs):
Heavy vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed to ply only on alternate days based on the assessment of the current traffic situation. However, no heavy vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed to ply from Qazigund or Jakhaini (Udhampur) after 7:00 pm.
