Times Group chairperson Indu Jain died on Thursday due to Covid-related complications, company sources said. She was 84. Her demise was condoled by Lt Guv Manoj Kumar Sinha.
Hailing her as a visionary, Times Now TV channel, part of the Times Group, described Jain as a lifelong spiritual seeker, pioneering philanthropist, distinguished patron of the arts, and passionate proponent of women’s rights.
She breathed her last in Delhi, the sources said.
Meanwhile, Lt Guv J&K M K Sinha condoled the demise of Chairperson Times Group and tweeted, “Deeply saddened to hear about passing away of Smt. Indu Jain, Chairperson, Times Group.”
A spiritual seeker, philanthropist, patron of art, and a proponent of women’s rights, Smt. Indu Jain led by an example for other women folks through her outstanding work in different fields, further tweeted.
