Security forces take action after terror attack, detaining 1,000 OGWs

Srinagar, July 22:
Security forces have detained more than 1,000 ‘Over Ground Workers’ (OGWs) from the Kashmir Valley. This is after a policeman was killed in a terror attack in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Following the attack, security forces along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted raids across the Valley.

He said that more than 1,000 OGWs have been detained during the raids.

Head constable Ashiq Hussain was shot dead by a terrorist at Lal Chowk in Anantnag at around 12:30 pm today.

Following the attack, security forces launched a massive search operation to locate the attacker and cordoned off the entire Anantnag town.
