Srinagar, January 13:
The Z-Morh tunnel in Sonamarg area was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. After inaugurating the project built at a cost of Rs 2,700 crore. Prime Minister inspected the tunnel and interacted with the construction officials.
A 7.5 meter wide escape passage has also been built in this tunnel for emergency situations. This tunnel will strengthen the weather-wise connectivity between Srinagar and Sonamarg and will help in avoiding landslides and avalanches.
