Jammu, March 16:

A circular of the Jammu and Kashmir Paramedical Council has made thousands of students sleepless. The council has decided not to recognize paramedical degree and diploma courses from 21 universities of the country for the time being. Council has started investigation. It will be decided only after the completion of the investigation whether it will approve these courses or not. This has angered the students and they have their eyes on the next decision.

The President of Jammu and Kashmir Paramedical Council and the Principal of Government Medical College, Srinagar has issued a circular on Monday. It said that many students have applied for registration after pursuing degree and diploma from various universities. When these were investigated, it was found that there was a violation of the rules of the University Grants Commission.

Many students completed their diplomas and degrees sitting at home. Many institutes did not even take into account the age of the candidate, the duration of the course while conducting the course. Some universities have also opened their study centers illegally in Jammu and Kashmir. The permission of the commission is necessary to open this study centre. Therefore, through these study centers, no one who has done degree and diploma can be recognized. These are illegal.
