Panic in Jammu! Bomb threat to four Kendriya Vidyalayas, security agencies probe

Jammu, July 27:
Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 in Gandhinagar, Jammu has received a bomb blast threat on August 5, 2026, through an email. The school administration received the threat from a suspicious email ID, after which the matter was immediately reported to the Gandhi Nagar police station.

As soon as the information was received, the police team visited the school premises and took stock of the situation. Necessary steps are being taken regarding security arrangements and the police have started investigating the case.

According to preliminary information, similar threats have been received by other Kendriya Vidyalayas in Jammu from the same email ID. These include KV No. 2 Jammu Cantt, KV Nagrota and KV Sujma.

Police and security agencies are investigating the person who sent the threat and email ID. At present, the security arrangements of all the concerned schools are being monitored.
