Srinagar, July 15:
Monsoon has been weak in Jammu and Kashmir in the first fifteen days. From July 5 to July 11, an average of minus 75.40 percent rainfall has been recorded in ten districts of Kashmir division and minus 16.47 percent in ten districts of Jammu division. Districts like Budgam, Bandipora, Baramulla, Kulgam, Kupwara, Shopian of Kashmir division have received 80 to 90 percent less rainfall than normal. According to Meteorological Center Srinagar, there is no possibility of much rain in the coming days as well.
According to the data of Meteorological Center Srinagar, from 1st June to 11th July before the monsoon, Kashmir division received less rainfall by 45.88% and Jammu division received less rainfall by 26.84%. Although the monsoon arrived in Jammu and Kashmir on 28th June, it has still not become active except in some parts of Jammu division.
Till now Jammu and Kashmir has received less rain than normal during the monsoon, but this gap can be filled with the change in weather in the coming days.
