The massacre that took place on 22nd April in the Besaran Valley of Pahalgam shook the entire country and the world. After this incident, the biggest decrease in the number of tourists has been seen till date. All the tourist places of J&K have become deserted.
The impact of this attack in Kashmir has been seen in Jammu as well.
Many small and big tourist places including Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Katra, Jammu had become deserted. Now the charm has started returning a little.
Many businessmen associated with tourism related business including restaurant, hotel, dhaba, shops, boat owners are worried.
Local people say that we were very hurt by the Pahalgam attack. After that we are very satisfied with Operation Sindoor run by our country.
