Srinagar, November 3:
Srinagar MP Agha Syed Ruhollah Mehdi has resigned from both the primary membership of the NC and the Lok Sabha membership, leaving the party.
He described his move as a “decision of independence”. After resigning, he said that people are often disappointed when they lose the chair. But they are very happy to leave power.
Ruhullah made a direct attack on Chief Minister’s style of functioning. He said that the chair he is sitting on has become a source of sorrow not only for him but also for the people. He said that Omar did not need to keep his cap and waqar in the footsteps of others.
Calling the chief minister “na-ahal” or incompetent, Ruhullah also targeted party supremo Dr Farooq Abdullah.
He said Dr Farooq should teach the Quran to his son, who took a U-turn on the stand of Article 370 out of fear of the BJP soon after the assembly elections.
At the same time, when Dr. Farooq Abdullah was questioned about this sudden decision and serious allegations of Ruhullah Mehdi. He only avoided the matter by saying that he could not say anything on this whole matter at the moment.
